I have been in a mood to post pictures lately. I hope nobody has minded. I did this kind of “photo shoot” on my desk awhile back. I propped up a curved piece of white paper with my computer like I did with the rubber duckie photo and got out a bunch of small plastic animal toys I have lying around. I am of course a huge proponent of buying random plastic toys at the grocery store. It is my ultimate impulse buy weakness. Are you trying to get me to spend that extra two or three dollars at your store? Put up a rack of cheap plastic toy sets and you’ve got me hook, line, and sinker. This whole shoot was inspired much in the same way as my rubber duckie picture, the lighting just looked right. So, I set them down in various positions and took some shots. I have a macro adapter for my lens that I got from the fine people at Photojojo (not a paid statement, I just love them and what they do). It was really fun to take these kind of pictures. I figure this is probably as close as I will get to taking pictures of real life animals of this kind. I don’t see myself “heading out on safari” to take photos of wild animals in their natural environment any time soon. Lack of courage to be that close to a wild gorilla being one of the main reasons, but I’m sure there are other mitigating factors.
But, I hope you enjoy these as they were fun to take. These are unedited versions. They have only been imported from my camera and had the watermark put on them.
